The coals which Emerald exports, originate at the mines and is transported by rail or truck to barge loading facilities. Emerald enjoys excellent and long-standing relationships with the nation’s largest and most efficient barge, rail, and trucking companies. To ensure arrival at the final destination point, in a timely manner, Emerald utilizes state of the art technology to track each transportation mode as it traverses both land and the U.S. river system. In addition, Emerald has utilized barge to rail, and barge to truck, transportation for both imported, and domestic coal delivery.

Emerald can, and has, supplied import and export transportation and delivery logistics to third parties for both coal, and coke.
